Peter Max is one of the defining artists of the cultural evolution of the 1960s and 1970s. His "Cosmic ‘60s style" captured the spirit and imagination of the entire generation and his visual impact on the era has been compared often to the influence the Beatles had with their music. More than 250 of his works from several periods were displayed throughout the Library.
