Environmental Impact

By improving the energy efficiency of both factory and home, the HEAL program effects a community-wide reduction in both natural resource consumption and GHG emissions. HEAL’s unique, “plant-to-home” approach gives employers an opportunity to make a broader environmental impact, one that extends beyond their corporate campuses.

In addition, the program also tracks its own greenhouse gas emissions, offsetting them through a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) giveaway program for those employees who attend HEAL presentations at their place of employment.

HEAL is refining a template for the program that will facilitate replication in other communities.
